Empowering Women
Through Sustainable Business
“Meet the economist transforming the fortunes of Indonesia’s craftswomen.”
Denica is an Indonesian economist turned social entrepreneur, author, keynote speaker, and advocate for women & Nature.
As the founder and CEO of SukkhaCitta, she is reimagining the future of fashion. From reintroducing plant dyes to rediscovering ancient agroforestry systems, she has built one of the world's first regenerative farm-to-closet supply chains. Empowering women to protect our environment from toxic chemicals, while regenerating soils and restoring biodiversity.
Realizing the potential of craft and agroforestry in helping women adapt to the changing climate, she started Rumah SukkhaCitta Foundation to accelerate the transition to a regenerative economy. Sustaining indigenous cultures and bridging access to education for smallholder farmers in rural Indonesia.
She is the first woman in Indonesia to win the Cartier Women’s Initiative Award, presented by Amal Clooney in Paris. Her pioneering work has also been recognized by Forbes 30 Under 30, GenT Asia, Prestige 40 Under 40, Harper Bazaar’s Icons, VOGUE Business Innovators and Herworld Women of the Year.

Building a Regenerative Economy
